Vintage 1907 New York Standard Pocket Watch, Fully Serviced, 18 Size, 7 Jewel, Lever Set, Keystone Silveroid Case Running

$219.00

A handsome antique New York Standard Watch Co. pocket watch, dating to approximately 1907, with a bright silver-tone Keystone Silveroid case, elegant Arabic numerals, and a subsidiary seconds dial.

Its classic open-face design showcases a beautifully preserved dial and striking deep blued almost-black hands.

The supplied serial-number lookup identifies the movement as Grade 61, Model 9, in an 18-size, 7-jewel configuration.

This watch has been serviced with a complete COA—cleaned, oiled, and adjusted—and fitted with a brand-new crystal. Original-style NOS (new old stock) blued hands have been installed; their deep blue finish appears almost black in most lighting.

The dial presents beautifully, appearing nearly flawless at a glance, with only very minor, barely noticeable signs of age and wear.

The genuine Keystone Watchcase Co. case has a very shiny appearance with minor signs of wear consistent with its age.

The watch winds and sets smoothly and correctly.

What does lever set mean?

To set the time, carefully remove the front bezel—the rim holding the crystal—to access a small lever beside the dial. Gently pull the lever outward, turn the crown to move the hands, then return the lever and replace the bezel. Unlike a conventional stem-set watch, you do not pull out the crown to set the time.
This traditional mechanism was commonly used in American pocket watches and helped prevent accidental changes to the time.
